The PlanetCCTV Digital Video Recording and Archiving System takes video, converts it to data and stores it digitally, while retaining full image quality from the cameras. Compared with conventional CCTV recording mediums, such as, an the industrial time-lapse VCR and Multiplexer, the PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS records all information digitally during the selected recording period in time lapse mode. Conventional methods deliver poor quality and low-resolution images on playback. Because it is digital, the PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS can replay super high-resolution multiplexed images or full frame super high-resolution images for forensic purposes. Searching for images is now done linearly at computer speed! VCR manufacturers have stated that industrial VCRs require servicing every 1,000 hours (41 days), to ensure the longevity of the machine. The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS, however, has no moving parts, apart from hard disk, and does not require the same arduous and costly maintenance programs. This benefits the customer in substantial cost savings.

The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS displays up dsiplay up to 32 cameras simultaneously, allows replay of images from up to 16 cameras simultaneously, all at 640 x 480 resolution (24 bit color) - a significant enhancement over conventional multiplexers! This enables the user to better analyze events and provide more detailed documentation of recorded images. All images are digitally recorded and stored to a high capacity hard disk. The DVMS/NVMS permits users to print hard, high-definition copies of images on demand. The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS eliminates the need for analog VCRs and Multiplexers for CCTV systems. The PlanetCCTV DVMS provides end users with highest resolution video images available on the market today, easier storage, the ability to automatically search days worth of video recordings in a matter of seconds. This reduces hours devoted to manually searching through VCR tapes, and allows for fast and convenient searches.
