WHAT IS THE AWARD WINNING PLANETCCTV DIGITAL/NETWORK VIDEO MANAGEMENT SERVER?

The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Digital Video Recording, Transmission and Management Archive Storage System is made up of various hardware and software components. Each PlanetCCTV DVMS system, with the DVMS Video Server pre-loaded and pre-configured, includes the following components with functionality briefly described here:
THE PLANETCCTV DVMS/NVMS SYSTEM: The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Software has been designed to run on commonly available Windows based computer platforms.

THE PLANETCCTV DVMS/NVMS SOFTWARE: The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Digital Video Multiplexer and Archiving System has been designed as a Server-Client based application. There are several advantages of this, which include multiple viewers accessing live or active recorded video and video that has been indexed and archived for evidenciary purposes. There are six (6) different software programs in the PlanetCCTV DVMS software suite, they are:

PLANETCCTV VIDEO SERVER

The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Video Server software is the heart of the system and runs as a Service under Windows XP. Each PlanetCCTV Digital Video Server is pre-loaded and pre-configured for the enduser. The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Server software is responsible for a number of tasks, some of which include:
  • Composite Closed circuit video capture
  • Video compression - Storage of compressed video to Hard Disk
  • Archiving of stored compressed video to digital tape, Hard Drive Arrays, any other local media or to any NAS/SAN appliance for longer storage periods
  • Receiving and handling alarms
  • Configuring Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) Cameras
  • Triggering relay outputs in the event of alarm receipt
  • Allowing network client connections for replay and viewing of video data
  • Transmission of alarm video files to an offsite security base station
  • Connections from remote sites
  • Logging all events, that occur each day
  • Manages multiple user connections

Records and Displays Video at 60, 120, 240 or 480 images per second

PLANETCCTV REMOTE ACCESS CLIENT

The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS client is the software program that allows the user to view live and recorded video from any camera or group of cameras from either one site or multiple sites, over a Local Area Network, Wide Area Network or via Dial Up connections. Key features of the PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Client software are:
  • Number of cameras are connected to the server
  • The ability to view live and recorded images simultaneously, while still recording
  • The ability to view and replay any camera or group of cameras on command from multiple remote PlanetCCTV enabled video servers over LAN, WAN or the Internet
  • The ability to create user selectable video clips form one or more servers
  • Replay different cameras at different times while still recording
  • Simultaneous replay of any or all cameras
  • Control search and play functions using our simple remote control
  • View alarm images while still recording
  • Control alarm inputs and outputs from the client while still recording
  • User selectable screen layout and window size
  • Allows images of interest to be exported to a floppy disk as a Bitmap file for evidence
  • The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS client does not affect the recording capability of the DVMS Video Server and thus increases the effectiveness of the PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS server as it does not have to display images as well as record images

PLANETCCTV ARCHIVE and VIDEO CLIP VIEWER
If a PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Server uses Digital Tape Backup, a Hard Drive Array or a NAS storage solution to archive recorded data from the hard drive, the user must use the Archive Viewer to review any archived video data. The PlanetCCTV Archive and Video Clip Viewer allows the user to:
  • Review archive data from yesterday or months ago
  • Replay video at three different speeds
  • Search video by time/date or via Smart Digital Search
  • Review recorded alarm data files
  • Export images for evidentciary purposes
  • Print images
  • Transfer segments of video data from the tape drive to a hard disk, to CD or any other means of digital storage

PLANETCCTV BASESTATION

The PlanetCCTV Basestation server is used as a Central Monitoring Station tool, to verify alarm conditions from sites using PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS systems. Each user of a PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Video Server has the option of sending alarm images to a computer configured with the PlanetCCTV BaseStation software. The PlanetCCTV BASESTATION allows the following functions to be performed:
  • Receive video alarms from remote PlanetCCTV DVMS or NVMS Servers
  • Verification of received alarm images as false or genuine alarms
  • Allows remote guard tours of premises using the PlanetCCTV DVMS or NVMS Server
  • Turn relay outputs on or off
  • Disable faulty alarm inputs and outputs
  • Reset alarm outputs
  • Confirm and verify intruder alarm notification
  • Allows images of interest to be exported to a floppy disk as a Bitmap file for evidence.

PLANETCCTV ADMINISTRATIVE MONITORING SW

The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Monitor is a very useful tool that allows system administrators and PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS users to view important data such as:
  • Server Name
  • System Serial Number
  • Server Start Time
  • Verify System Up Time
  • Image Capture Rate
  • Average recorded image size
  • Number of Alarms
  • Identity of Users logged onto the PlanetCCTV DVMS server over the network
  • Allowing Administrators to manually log-off Users

PLANETCCTV SNAPSHOT AUTHENTICATOR
The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS allows images saved as bitmap files to be authenticated in a court of law. Each PlanetCCTV DVMS bit map image is watermarked and includes a digital signature. The PlanetCCTV DVMS/NVMS Snapshot Authenticator verifies that the bitmap image has not been altered in any way. If the image has been altered and is run through the Snapshot Authenticator, a blue and black stripe will be placed over the altered pixels information about the image will not be available. The PlanetCCTV Snapshot Authenticator is the only known digital video recording system to incorporate four (4) image authentication techniques - Audit Trail, Check Sum, Worm and Digital Signature. PlanetCCTV images have a 1/100 second time stamp and can be authenticated as an original or altered image when an image is presented as evidence in a courtroom.
